When I launched OneUp, I had a one goal in mind:
To help recruitment teams drive better performance.
With this as our north star, we’ve built a platform that enables agencies to:
- Track their data across multiple systems
- Understand and gather actionable insights
- Drive performance by focussing teams on the right activities
But I’ve always known we can do more.
Recruitment is one of the most transparent and brutally measured professions, but as tech stacks have grown and data has splintered across systems, it’s become harder than ever to truly understand your data.
The reality for many agencies is hours are lost in spreadsheets to unearth actionable intelligence—a process that is time-consuming and prone to error. By the time the analysis happens, it’s too late to do anything about it.
Revenue is lost, opportunities wasted, and client relationships broken due to this reactive data strategy.
So we completely rebuilt our reporting suite—from the ground up.
Our goal is simple: cutting the time every member of your agency takes to discover insights and drive performance.
Here’s what’s changed.
Performance Analytics
In May, we rolled out Performance Analytics.
This is the foundation for our new and improved reporting suite.
It equips you with all the data you need to understand and drive performance, in a few simple steps.
This means every member of your team can harness the power of their data, without needing to be a data expert.
Key features
New Report Builder
We’ve completely redeveloped our report builder.
It’s now a table populated by attributes and metrics selected in a left-hand column. This provides familiar and easy-to-use functionality, conforming to industry-standard UI.
You can easily report on performance by user, team, and company, and then add or remove any metric you’ve integrated as a column in the report.
For any metric you add to your report, you can also see expected performance vs target for the period you are looking at.
Data Splits by Period
When selecting a time period to report on, you can now choose to break this down further.
So, for example, you can easily view last quarter’s performance by week.
💡Split by use case examples:
- Activity for last month — grouped by week to see week-on-week performance and spot trends (e.g. are less CVs sent at the end of the month?)
- Quarter on quarter revenue annual report — grouping the years into quarters, allowing you to draw comparisons (e.g. Q2 this year vs Q2 last year)
Metric Functions
When selecting a metric, we'll display the total against the target by default.
However, you might want to compare the total number of CVs sent to the average number of CVs sent, for example.
So now, you can calculate min, max, and average values per metric and make comparisons at-a-glance.
💡Average use case examples:
- Analyse contract revenue split trends and work out when to focus efforts on Contract placements. To do this, select the entire company, add contract revenue booked, and change the value to monthly average. Select the timeframe that makes sense to you, e.g., this year, and then split by quarter.
💡Maximum use case examples:
- Use the maximum feature to identify records in your company or team! E.g. record number of CVs sent in a single week by an individual, in the last quarter.
Report Sharing
Easily share and transfer ownership of reports with any other user on the system.
This means you can now create a report for someone else and, if you don’t need this report available to you, you can transfer ownership to other individuals.
Exports
Need a report for a team or board meeting?
We all do sometimes, right?
Export any report to CSV, Excel or PDF, to get it in the format that you need for that all important presentation.
Performance Insights
In June, we’re rolling out Performance Insights.
This one’s a biggie.
It’s an extension of our foundational reporting suite.
With Performance Insights you can go beyond just tracking your data, and truly understand where to focus your time and resources to drive results.
It’s incredibly powerful, yet easy to use.
And the best part? You can now report on a number of new data attributes, including Clients, Candidates, and Jobs.

Client Reporting
We’ve heard it time and time again from our customers (and we don’t blame them).
Agencies want to report on their data per client, not just by their own teams and reps.
Not being able to do so is a major blocker to driving growth.

How do you show clients all the value you’ve provided?

With Performance Insights you’ll be able to report on all your candidates in one place.

Jobs Reporting
Knowing which jobs you should be focussing your time on is critical to achieving your numbers.
If you get it wrong, that’s one more hurdle to hitting your target.
It shouldn’t be that difficult to focus your time on the jobs that matter.
But currently it is.
With Performance Insights you’ll now be able to report on individual jobs.

- Understand which jobs are likely to be lost
- Know which jobs you should prioritise over others
- Highlight which jobs are below expected activity levels
Formulas
Get ready to say goodbye to Excel forever (seriously).
Formulas will allow you to perform calculations on metrics within reports themselves.
Forecasting
You shouldn’t have to be a data scientist to understand your data.
And you shouldn’t need to be clairvoyant to predict the future (at least when it comes to your pipeline 😅).
With Performance Insights you’ll now be able to build forecasting reports to predict where you’ll end up vs target.

- Know whether you’re falling behind your target attainment
- Make adjustments and take action before it’s too late
Why does this matter?
We get it, you’re sceptical.
