OUR ORIGIN STORY

It began with our co-founders, Derry and James. As developers, their ethos was simple: build cool things and solve interesting problems. James, having spent 18 months in door-to-door sales, saw firsthand how performance was tracked with tallies on a whiteboard. Meanwhile, both founders were lifelong gamers who understood the incredible power of video games to motivate action—how competition and the thrill of achievement could keep people coming back for more. Why couldn't work feel more like play?

Sales is a tough, gruelling job full of rejection. We decided to take the principles that make games so engaging and apply them to the sales floor. The mission was born: to make success visible, motivating and repeatable by bringing performance data to life using gamification.

The Problem We Saw

Performance was trapped on whiteboards or in messy spreadsheets. Wins felt fleeting, losses felt personal, and the link between daily effort and results was totally invisible.

The Spark We Had

As developers who loved video games, we knew how powerful clear goals and instant feedback were. We decided to apply that logic to the sales floor, and started building OneUp.

OneUp Sales officially launches and signs its first paying customer, proving the demand for a new way to drive performance.

Financial Power-up

We secure $200K in our first round of funding, validating our vision and enabling us to scale.

2020

Co-op Mode Activated

Surpassing 100 customers across Europe and North America, OneUp becomes a key tool for remote and hybrid sales teams during a critical time.

2023

New Milestone Unlocked

After securing $3M in series-A funding, we close out 2023 by hitting the 170+ customers marker, solidifying our position in the market.
